As of January 28, 2025, Ontario has introduced the Home Renovation Savings Program, offering rebates of up to 30% for various home energy efficiency upgrades, including the installation of heat pumps.

Rebate Amounts

Up to $7,500 for installing a cold climate air-source heat pump.
Up to $12,000 for a ground-source heat pump.

Eligibility Criteria

Homeowners must own and reside in the property.
The installed heat pump must be ENERGY STAR-certified.
Installation must be performed by a licensed professional.
Completion of pre- and post-installation energy assessments by a Registered Energy Advisor is required.
